What is Your Excuse For Not Being Fit and Healthy?

So how many times have you gone to the gym trying hard to be fit but only to lose your momentum and gained back your excess weight? How many times have you made excuses for not following through with your fitness program? Your usual excuses might include having been buried with work lately, or you have a swollen ankle, or perhaps you were on a vacation and have no access to the gym, Torker unicycle or whatever excuses you can think about to justify why your lazy bum has not been to the gym lately.

Procrastination is probably one of the reasons why people are not achieving their weight loss or fitness goals. If you ask any overweight person right now if he or she would like to shed off some extra pounds, the answer would be a big resounding "YES". And if you ask them if they are going to the gym or if they ever plan to do any physical activities to lose weight, then you would probably hear a lot of lame excuses like " oh yes, I plan to just right after the Holidays" or maybe " Yes, just after I am done with my project at work". Procrastination. No sense of urgency. If you are seriously wanting to be physically fit and have the ideal body you are dreaming about, then you will do everything you can to focus on your goal no matter what the time and the situation. Do it now, not later, not tomorrow.

Set up your priorities. It is common for mothers to find an excuse for not being physically fit because they are just too busy with the kids, or too busy balancing work and being a mother. But it is important for you to know that being physically fit should be a major priority in your life if you want to be able to cope with daily life's stress and enjoy your life more along with the people that you love. You don't even need to go to the gym to stay fit. You can have your own daily routine of exercise wherever and whenever you want. You don't have to work out for hours a day to stay in great shape. You can work out for just 15 minutes a day and just maximize the intensity and amount of full body movement to achieve greater results. You do not have to own any fancy fitness gadgets to get you active and healthy. Eating the right kind of food does not even require you to lift a finger. There is no excuse for not being fit and healthy.

Have a healthy mindset. Yes, it all boils down to having the right mindset when you want to change your life for the better. Don't ever think that the physically fit people you see in the gym are not as busy or occupied as you are, because chances are they also have a full day schedule but they chose to make fitness as one of their top priorities. There is no reason for you not to do the same. Why don't you challenge yourself and take action starting today. Stop procrastinating, set your priorities, and have a conscious effort to have the right and healthy mindset.
